AC Current Clamp Probe for Fluke Meters
The Fluke i1000S is an AC current clamp probe designed for electricians and technicians who need to measure high alternating currents without breaking a circuit. It connects via a BNC connector to compatible Fluke instruments and provides true-RMS response for accurate readings on non-linear loads. The probe is rated CAT III 600 V and CAT IV 300 V for industrial safety.
Measures 10 A to 1000 A AC with Selectable Output
This clamp handles AC current from a minimum of 10 A up to a maximum of 1000 A, making it suitable for heavy-duty motor, lighting and distribution-panel work. It cannot measure DC current at any level. Three selectable output scales — 1 mV/A, 10 mV/A and 100 mV/A — let you match the probe to the input range of your meter. The jaw opens to 2.13 in for large conductors or bus bars.
Requires Compatible Fluke ScopeMeter
The i1000S works with Fluke 120B Series ScopeMeters and Fluke 434 II, 435 II, 437 Series II and 438 II power quality analysers. It is not usable with meters that lack a BNC input or the required input impedance. Buyers who need DC current capability or a probe for non-Fluke instruments should look elsewhere. The clamp frees you from shutting down circuits to insert a series ammeter.

Questions about this item
Will the Fluke i1000S clamp fit around the 2.13 in conductors in my existing panel?
Yes, the maximum conductor size is 2.13 in so it accommodates cables up to that diameter.
How can I verify the TRMS output is correct after connecting the BNC lead to my meter?
Apply a known AC current; the probe outputs 100 mV/A, 10 mV/A or 1 mV/A depending on range, so the meter reading should match the expected voltage.
Does the package include the BNC cable or must I order it separately?
The clamp probe ships with a BNC connector; a compatible meter such as the Fluke 120B, 434 II, 435 II, 437 II or 438 II is required separately.
