AC voltage detector for electricians
The Fluke LVD2 detects AC voltage from 90 V to 600 V without contact. A bright visual alert lights up when voltage is present. It carries a CAT IV 600 V safety rating for use at service entrances and industrial panels. The probe tip allows quick checks on outlets, wires and terminals.
Built-in flashlight adds convenience in dark
An integrated flashlight illuminates the test area while the detector is in use. No separate display is fitted; the light itself is the indication. The non-contact probe tip speeds up go/no-go verification on live circuits. The tool is ready to work straight from the box with no software or accessories to configure.
Handles 90 V to 600 V AC with CAT IV 600 V rating
The detector comfortably covers standard mains and control voltages up to 600 V AC. It does not measure DC voltage and has no display for numeric readings. Buyers who need DC detection, precise voltage values or continuity testing will need a different instrument. The CAT IV rating provides headroom for transient-rich environments.

Questions about this item
Will the probe tip or built-in flashlight need periodic replacement?
The probe tip is a fixed metal contact and the flashlight uses a long-life LED; neither is designed as a user-replaceable part.
What limits continuous operation when checking live circuits at 600 V?
The CAT IV 600 V rating defines the safe measurement category; exceeding that environment is the primary limit.
Does the detector generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day use?
It is a passive non-contact tool with no fan or active circuitry, so it produces no audible noise or measurable heat.
