Fork Opening and Voltage Range
The Fluke T6-1000 PRO is a non-contact electrical tester built for industrial electricians who need fast, safe measurements while wearing PPE. It measures AC voltage and current simultaneously up to 1000 V and 200 A without touching a live wire. The fork jaw opens 17.8 mm to fit conductors up to 120 mm².
Upgrade from Contact Probes
This tester replaces traditional clamp meters and contact probes that require metal-to-conductor contact for voltage readings. The jump is worth it when working on energised panels where de-energising is impractical, or when gloves and dim lighting make probe placement slow and error-prone. Visual Continuity lights the screen bright green, giving a clear pass indication in noisy environments.
Measurement Capacity and Limits
The instrument handles AC voltage, AC current, frequency from 45 Hz to 66 Hz, and resistance to 100 kΩ on a single display. True-rms sensing maintains accuracy on non-linear loads such as variable-speed drives. It does not measure DC current, capacitance, temperature or power factor, so technicians needing those functions will require additional tools.
