Closet System for 118-Inch Widths

This freestanding bedroom set spans up to 118 inches wide, 15.7 inches deep and 74 inches high. It combines a central shelving tower with three drawers and six total shelves, plus four hanging rods. The unit weighs 132 pounds and ships new, requiring assembly on site.

Replaces Wire Closet Kits

The system substitutes exposed wire grids and plastic rods with a finished dark walnut exterior and steel hardware. The jump is worth it when you want concealed drawer storage, adjustable shelf heights and a cohesive furniture look instead of utility-grade hardware.

Fits Standard Reach-In Closets

The rectangular footprint matches typical reach-in depths, while the removable top shelves adapt to ceiling heights or bulkheads. Particle-board construction keeps weight manageable for two-person assembly, and the included hanging rods free up separate rod hardware. Buyers needing deeper shelving or built-in integration should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How much wall width does the 118" wide Pittsburg closet system require for mounting?

The system covers up to 118 inches of wall width and measures 118W x 15.7D x 74H inches overall, so plan for at least that much clear horizontal space.

What is the most common assembly mistake with the steel hardware and three drawers on this particle board unit?

Over-tightening the steel cam locks and drawer slides before all panels are aligned can strip the particle board; snug the hardware only after the full frame is square.

When will the particle board shelves and drawer interiors need attention or replacement?

The six shelves and three drawer interiors use particle board with no veneer; expect to reinforce sagging shelves or replace drawer bottoms after several years of heavy loads.
