Hand Puppet for Storytelling and Play

The Folkmanis Valais Blacknose Sheep hand puppet stands 15 inches tall with a 14 inch length and 8 inch width. Its movable mouth allows realistic animation during performances. The white woolly coat and contrasting black features replicate the distinct breed markings. It suits stage, classroom, daycare and pretend-play settings.

Ready to Use Without Assembly

No batteries, electronics or additional accessories are required to operate the puppet. The single-piece plush construction means it can be picked up and performed immediately. This frees the user from setup time and lets the focus remain on storytelling or teaching. It fits comfortably on an adult or older child's hand for direct control.

Durable Plush Holds Up to Repeated Use

High-quality materials and stitching keep the puppet intact through frequent handling and long sessions. The fabric resists matting and retains its shape after extended play periods. Surface cleaning is straightforward, so the puppet stays presentable for years of regular classroom or stage use. The movable mouth mechanism remains smooth without stiffening over time.

Questions about this item

How long can I perform with the 15 inch Valais Blacknose Sheep puppet before my hand tires?

The puppet weighs very little and fits an average adult hand, so most people can animate the movable mouth for an hour or more without fatigue.

Does the plush sheep generate any noise or heat during a full day of classroom use?

No — it is a soft hand puppet with no electronics, motors or batteries, so it stays silent and at room temperature.

What must I already have to make the movable mouth work on this 14 inch long puppet?

Only a hand that fits inside the puppet body; no tools, batteries or extra accessories are required.
