Two-person capacity for backpacking

This tent sleeps two people and weighs 5.5 lb (2.5 kg). The interior floor measures 88.6 by 53.1 in (225 by 135 cm) with a peak height of 43.3 in (110 cm). It is designed for backpacking trips where a free-standing shelter is required.

7001 series aluminum poles and welded floor

The frame uses 7001 series aluminum poles that allow the tent to be pitched in roughly three minutes. A welded floor design lifts the sleeping area off damp ground while two D-shaped doors and two vestibules provide gear storage and easy entry. Smooth #8 zippers resist snagging during daily use.

3000 mm waterproof rating with ceiling vents

The rainfly achieves a 3000 mm waterproof index and full coverage to shed rain and wind. Two ceiling vents and a large mesh window promote airflow to limit condensation. Micro-mesh fabric adds breathability while keeping insects out during warm nights.

Questions about this item

What waterproof rating does the rainfly reach, and what does that mean for heavy rain?

The rainfly is rated at 5000 mm hydrostatic head, so it holds back heavy downpours without leaking through the fabric.

What pole diameter and clearance do I need to pitch this freestanding tent?

The 7001 series aluminum poles form a structure 225 cm long, 135 cm wide and 110 cm tall, requiring a flat site at least that large.

Which step do campers most often miss when setting up the 7001 aluminum pole system?

Many forget to tension the reflective guylines after the poles are clipped, leaving the fly loose and reducing wind resistance.
