Fotodiox Macro Reverse Adapter 58mm to Nikon F Mount

Macro reverse adapter 58mm to Nikon F

This adapter threads onto a lens with a 58mm filter thread and mounts it in reverse on a Nikon F mount camera body. The all metal construction with an anodised black finish provides a smooth surface for secure attachment. It is intended for photographers who want to experiment with extreme macro magnification using existing lenses.

Practical limits of reverse mounting

Reversing a lens removes electronic communication between the camera and the lens, so aperture control and autofocus are not available. Exposure must be managed manually, often requiring stopped down settings that darken the viewfinder. The working distance becomes very short, limiting lighting options and making composition challenging for moving subjects.
