Car Ashtray With Slide Seal

The FOWSRHRG FSCA518 is a gold-coloured car ashtray made from ABS plastic with an electroplated inner liner. It includes three packs of water-soluble extinguishing sand and is designed for smokers who want a compact, odour-contained solution that mounts on a vehicle door panel.

Slide Lid Limits Ash Scatter

The sliding lid mechanism seals tightly to trap smoke and smells inside the unit, but the chamber volume is fixed by the 4.5 x 2.9 x 1.7 in dimensions. Users who generate large amounts of ash on long trips will need to empty the liner more frequently than they would with a larger dashboard caddy.

ABS Shell And Detachable Liner

The outer ABS shell resists everyday knocks while the removable electroplated liner allows quick disposal of ash and used sand without tools. Door-panel mounting keeps the ashtray within peripheral view, yet the fixed position means it cannot be moved between vehicles or stored out of sight when not in use.

Questions about this item

Which capacity of the disposable water-soluble extinguishing sand should I choose?

The package includes three pieces of the disposable water-soluble extinguishing sand, so there is no separate capacity option to select.

What does the 4.5 x 2.9 x 1.7 in size mean for fitting in my car door?

Those dimensions give a compact footprint that sits flush on a door panel while still holding a usable amount of ash and the included sand.

How does the sliding lid seal perform in daily use?

The slide mechanism closes tightly to trap smoke and odour inside the electroplated liner, and it opens with one hand for quick access while driving.
