Friedrich RT7P Low Voltage Thermostat
The Friedrich RT7P is a hardwired low-voltage thermostat designed for 24 VAC residential and light-commercial HVAC systems. It provides single-stage control for both conventional and heat-pump equipment, handling one heating stage and one cooling stage. Installers and facility managers use it where a simple, reliable wall-mounted controller is required.
Single-stage heat and cool operation
The thermostat manages one heating stage and one cooling stage for conventional systems, and the same single-stage configuration for heat-pump systems. Temperature set-points can be adjusted between 45 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. This staging limit means the unit cannot drive multi-stage compressors, auxiliary heat banks or dual-fuel changeover logic.
Hardwired 24 VAC installation
A continuous 24 VAC supply from the system transformer is required; the thermostat does not operate on batteries. Wiring connects to standard RC, RH, W, Y, G, O and B terminals for conventional or heat-pump layouts. The hardwired design removes the need for battery replacement and frees the installer from wireless pairing steps during commissioning.
