FUJIFILM Instax Wide 400 Green film camera with film bundle

Wide-format instant camera for groups

The Fujifilm Instax Wide 400 in green produces 2.4 x 3.9 inch images on 3.4 x 4.3 inch film using a retractable 95mm f/14 lens. Automatic exposure and flash control remove the need for manual settings. A self-timer lever adjusts in two-second increments up to ten seconds with an LED countdown. It suits spontaneous photographers at parties, weddings or trips who want large prints without technical adjustments.

Simple setup with AA batteries

The camera runs on four AA batteries and powers down automatically after five minutes of inactivity. Insert the film pack, load the batteries and shoot. The built-in flash activates automatically in low light. Common issues include forgetting the close-up lens adapter for near subjects or misjudging the two-range focus zone, which can leave parts of a group shot soft.

Check film format and power supply

Verify you are buying Instax Wide film, not the smaller Instax Mini or Square formats, as they are not interchangeable. Ensure you have a ready supply of AA batteries for extended events. The 0.37x optical viewfinder with target spot helps framing, but parallax may affect close-ups. The angle adjustment accessory aids composition on uneven surfaces.
