Stopper for fi-5900c scanner

This Fujitsu stopper is a replacement accessory designed for the fi-5900c document scanner. It fits into the paper feed mechanism to help regulate sheet movement during scanning operations. The part is supplied new and intended for owners of that specific scanner model who need to replace a worn or missing original component. It serves a single mechanical function inside the feed path.

Restores proper paper feed control

Installing this stopper restores the intended paper separation and feed behaviour that can degrade when the original part wears down or is lost. It addresses misfeeds, double feeds or paper jams caused by a damaged stopper in the fi-5900c. The accessory does not add new scanning features, change scan speed or alter image quality. It is not for users of other scanner models or those seeking software upgrades.

Questions about this item

Does the stopper for the fi-5900c scanner require periodic replacement?

The stopper is a mechanical part that can wear with heavy daily use; inspect it during routine scanner cleaning and replace if the feed rollers no longer stop cleanly.

What fails first on the fi-5900c stopper during continuous scanning?

The spring-loaded tip or the plastic latch face wears down first, causing documents to slip past the stop position during high-volume runs.
