FWBGreen-1000 bag 1.2gal 100 count

Small compostable kitchen bags

These 1.2 gallon bags are made from corn-based material and carry BPI, OK Compost HOME and EN13432 certifications for home and industrial composting. Each roll contains 100 bags sized at 15 by 18.8 inches to fit countertop bins. They are designed for daily food waste such as coffee grounds, peelings and leftovers.

Sustained use in moist conditions

The bags resist leakage and punctures during normal kitchen use but will begin to break down if left in a dark, humid bin for extended periods. The manufacturer recommends using each roll within nine months of purchase to maintain strength. Tie handles allow quick closure to contain odours before the bag is transferred to the main compost container.

Check bin dimensions and storage

Verify that your countertop bin matches the 15 by 18.8 inch footprint so the handles seat properly and the bottom sits flat. Ensure you have a cool, dry place to store the unused rolls because heat and moisture accelerate decomposition. Buyers who need larger capacity liners or bags without tie handles should look elsewhere.
