16-inch LCD writing tablet for kids and adults

The FXI AM1600 is a 16-inch reusable drawing pad designed for children aged three and up as well as adults who want a quick note surface. It replaces paper for doodles, handwriting practice, shopping lists and spontaneous sketches. The board is lightweight, has rounded corners and fits in a backpack for school, car trips or flights.

Thermals noise and power

The tablet runs on a replaceable button cell that lasts about 12 months and supports roughly 100000 erase cycles. There is no backlight, so the surface produces no blue light, glare or radiation and stays completely silent during use. A screw-secured battery cover prevents the cell from falling out or being swallowed.

Erase lock and pen storage

A side-mounted lock switch protects drawings from accidental clearing, while a dedicated pen slot keeps the stylus attached to the board. Press the erase button to wipe the screen instantly when the lock is disengaged. This combination makes the tablet practical for both creative play and quick household memos.

Questions about this item

How do I install the battery and what step is often missed?

The tablet ships with a built-in button battery secured by a screw cover; the step people miss is removing that screw before the first use.

What maintenance will the AM1600 need later?

Replace the button battery after about 12 months; the pen sits in the side slot so it does not get lost.

What limit appears first during sustained use?

The erase button clears the whole 16in screen at once, and the lock switch prevents accidental erasing while you keep drawing.
