Value Series DDR4 Kit

This G.SKILL Value kit provides 8GB of DDR4 memory in a matched dual-channel pair of two 4GB modules. It targets mainstream desktop builds that need reliable capacity at standard speeds. The modules operate at DDR4 2400 with a CAS latency of CL17 and timings of 17-17-17-39. They run at the standard 1.20V without a heat spreader.

Sustained Load Stability

Under continuous workloads the matched pair maintains the rated 17-17-17-39 timings at DDR4 2400 without requiring manual tuning. The 1.20V operating voltage keeps power draw consistent during extended sessions. Mixing this kit with other memory is not supported and can cause instability or failure to boot. The modules initialise at SPD defaults on compatible platforms.

Thermals and Power

Without a heat spreader the modules rely on case airflow for cooling during normal operation. The low 1.20V voltage limits heat output even when the system runs for long periods. Noise is determined entirely by the surrounding chassis fans as the memory itself has no moving parts. Power consumption stays within standard DDR4 limits for this density and speed.
