Who the curved 1800R display suits

Competitive players wanting a 23.6 inch VA panel with 180 Hz refresh and 0.5 ms response will benefit from the smooth motion. The 125% sRGB coverage also helps colour-critical work. Buyers who need a higher pixel density for sharp text or a larger diagonal for multitasking should look at other options.

The deciding specification

The 180 Hz refresh rate combined with a 0.50 ms response time is the single figure that determines if this monitor matches the buyer's need for fast-paced gaming. If the target system cannot drive frame rates near that ceiling, a lower-refresh alternative would be more cost-effective.

Questions about this item

Will the 180 Hz refresh rate work over the HDMI 2.0 port?

Yes, the HDMI 2.0 input supports the full 1920 x 1080 resolution at 180 Hz, so you can reach the maximum refresh rate without needing the DisplayPort 1.4 connection.

Do I need external speakers or can I rely on the built-in audio?

The monitor includes two 2 W speakers that handle basic game sound and voice chat; for richer bass or louder volume you may still prefer headphones or external speakers.

Is the stand height-adjustable or will I need a monitor arm?

The supplied stand provides tilt adjustment only; if you require height, swivel or pivot movement you will need a VESA-compatible monitor arm or mount.
