Eight-inch nylon ties with DoubleLock teeth give 75 lb tensile strength in a 100-pack
Gardner Bender 623-46-308 cable ties are 8 inch self-locking nylon straps rated at 75 lb tensile strength. The patented DoubleLock tooth design provides 50% greater holding power than standard ties. Supplied in a 100-piece bag, they suit electrical, data and general-purpose bundling tasks.
These ties remain serviceable from -40 °F to 185 °F, covering most indoor and outdoor installation environments. The natural-colour nylon resists embrittlement across that span, so clamping force is retained through seasonal temperature swings without cracking or creep.
Builders who need more tensile capacity than basic 40 lb or 50 lb ties provide will benefit from the 75 lb rating. The jump is worth it for heavier cable looms, conduit bundles or vibration-prone mounts where standard ties can slip or snap. Users requiring UV-stabilised or coloured ties for outdoor identification should select a different product.

Wrap the 8 inch tie around the bundle up to 2 In. diameter, insert the tail through the head, and pull until the patented DoubleLock teeth engage — the step many skip is verifying the teeth have fully seated for the rated 75 Lb. tensile strength.
Nylon ties are single-use; after installation they cannot be released, so plan to cut and replace any tie when re-routing cables or if inspection shows cracking from prolonged exposure near the 185 Deg F upper limit.
The 75 Lb. tensile rating is the governing limit; sustained tension combined with temperatures approaching 185 Deg F can reduce nylon strength, so the mechanical load ceiling is reached before the -40 Deg F cold rating becomes relevant.
