Hook-and-Loop Cable Tie for Cable Management

The Gardner Bender FC5 is a hook-and-loop cable tie designed to bundle and secure wires in home or office installations. It suits installers and DIY users who need a reusable fastening method for audio, video or data cables. The gray colour provides a neutral appearance that blends with most conduit and trunking.

Practical Limits of Hook-and-Loop Fastening

The tie uses a hook-and-loop closure that can be opened and closed repeatedly without tools. It accommodates a bundle diameter up to 7.600 inches when wrapped once. The closure strength is adequate for typical low-voltage cable groups but is not rated for heavy mechanical loads or permanent structural support.

Capacity and Headroom for Cable Bundles

Each tie weighs .25 lb and the pack contains five pieces, giving enough length for several medium-sized cable runs. It comfortably handles standard Cat6, HDMI and speaker wire bundles in residential AV projects. Very large conduit fills or heavy power cables may exceed the holding capacity of a single tie.

Which pack size should I pick for this cable tie?

The hook-and-loop material is rated for harsh environments and stays secure on rigid, EMT, IMC, PVC and flexible conduit.
