Preloaded sports apps for walking, running, yoga, cardio, and more help you move your way, while connected GPS from your smartphone allows accurate distance and route tracking outdoors. Buyers who want onboard GPS or advanced training metrics will need a different device.

Up to 7 days battery and 5 ATM water rating

Stay active longer with up to 7 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, giving you uninterrupted performance throughout the week. The vívosmart 5 fitness tracker is rated 5 ATM for water resistance, so you can wear it confidently in the pool or shower without removing your device. Questions about this item

How do I set up the vívosmart 5 and what step do people skip?

Pair the tracker with the Garmin Connect app on your smartphone; the step users miss is granting the app continuous location access so connected GPS records outdoor routes accurately.

What will need replacing after daily wear?

The silicone band stretches over time; swap it for a new Garmin quick-release band when the fit loosens or the clasp no longer holds securely.

What limit appears first during a long outdoor workout?

Connected GPS relies on your phone battery, so the session ends when the phone runs low — usually well before the tracker’s own 7-day charge is depleted.
