Rearview Radar with Camera and Tail Light
The Garmin Varia RCT715 combines a rearview radar, a built-in camera and a tail light in a single compact unit for cyclists. It records continuously at up to 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second. Radar detects vehicles approaching from behind up to 153 yards away. Alerts appear on a compatible Edge bike computer, select Garmin wearables or the Varia smartphone app.
Cyclists who want recording and radar together
Riders who want both incident recording and vehicle detection in one device will benefit from the integrated design. The unit mounts easily on most bikes and weighs 5.2 ounces. Battery life reaches 6 hours with radar, day flash mode and camera recording active. Cyclists who only need a tail light or only need radar should look at simpler dedicated units.
16 GB maximum storage capacity
A 16 GB card is included and represents the maximum storage the device accepts. Footage is saved automatically before, during and after a detected incident. Video can be viewed and transferred using the Varia mobile app. Riders who require longer continuous recording without offloading files will need a different solution.
