The Garystat G721 is a non-programmable wall-mounted thermostat designed for residential heat pump systems with two heating stages and one cooling stage. It also supports conventional forced-air gas, oil or electric furnaces when the heat pump mode is turned off. A large green backlit LCD shows both temperature and humidity readings for quick reference.
Replaces Basic Two-Stage Controls
This unit upgrades older thermostats that lack separate B and O terminals or independent heating and cooling swing adjustments. The jump is worth it when you need electric or gas configuration flexibility, room temperature calibration and a three-minute compressor delay without running a C-wire. It does not suit 110-240 V line-voltage systems such as electric baseboard heat or RV installations.
Steady Operation Over Time
Dual power from 24 VAC or two AAA batteries keeps the display and relays active during power interruptions, while the low-battery indicator warns before performance drops.
