Two-pack BR30 smart bulbs

This two-pack contains C by GE Full Color Direct Connect Smart Bulbs in the BR30 form factor. They connect to a WiFi network without a hub or bridge. Each bulb is ready to use after a simple setup in the C by GE app. The pack suits anyone wanting colour-adjustable lighting in standard recessed fixtures.

Tunable white range 2000K to 7000K

The single specification that decides fit is the colour-temperature range. These bulbs adjust from warm amber tones at 2000K to cool bluish tones at 7000K. That span covers sleep-supporting warm light and alertness-supporting cool light. Buyers needing a narrower or different Kelvin range should look elsewhere.

Households wanting voice and away-from-home control

The bulbs work with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice commands and allow out-of-home control through the app. They suit users who want scheduling, scenes and grouped room control without extra hardware. Buyers who require a Zigbee or Thread bridge, local-only automation or higher lumen output than 30 watts equivalent should consider other options.

Questions about this item

How does the 2000K to 7000K colour range actually look in a living room?

At 2000K the light is a warm amber suited to evening relaxation, while 7000K gives a cool bluish tone for daytime focus; any intermediate white can be set in the app.

What does the WiFi connection limit when I am away from home?

The bulbs join the home network directly, so the C by GE app provides out-of-home control without a separate hub or bridge.

Will these BR30 lamps fit my existing recessed cans?

Each lamp is a standard BR30 shape designed for common recessed downlight housings.
