Industrial Lighting Contactor

The GE CR463L80ANA10A0 is an electrically held lighting contactor designed for commercial and industrial installations. It switches lighting circuits using a 240/277V AC coil and provides eight poles for multi-circuit control. This device suits facility managers and electricians who need reliable magnetic switching for fluorescent or tungsten loads.

Eight Poles and 30 A Fluorescent Rating

The contactor delivers a 30 A fluorescent lighting current rating and a 20 A tungsten lighting current rating across its eight poles. LED lighting current rating is 10 A. These figures determine whether the unit matches the connected load and circuit design.

NEMA 1 Enclosure and Coil Power

The NEMA 1 enclosure rating indicates indoor protection against incidental contact and falling dirt. The coil operates at 240/277V AC, drawing minimal power during normal energised operation. The magnetic mechanism runs quietly in typical lighting panels.

Questions about this item

What does the 8-pole configuration mean for controlling lighting circuits?

The contactor provides eight independent poles, allowing simultaneous switching of up to eight separate lighting circuits from a single coil.

How does the 277 VAC coil voltage limit where this contactor can be installed?

The coil requires a 240/277 V AC control supply, so it must be wired to a compatible lighting control voltage source.

What mounting provision does the NEMA 1 enclosure rating imply for this unit?

A NEMA 1 rating indicates an indoor general-purpose enclosure designed for surface mounting on a flat vertical surface.
