This GE Lighting electronic ballast operates one or two T5 fluorescent lamps at up to 54 watts each. It accepts a universal input voltage from 120 to 277 volts AC. The rapid-start design suits commercial and institutional fixtures that require reliable cold-weather starting.

Rapid start and wide voltage range

Rapid-start operation ignites lamps without a separate starter, reducing component count in the fixture. The 120-to-277-volt input allows the same ballast to be specified for both 120-volt and 277-volt branch circuits, simplifying inventory for maintenance teams.

Fixed output with no dimming capability

The ballast provides only full light output and cannot be dimmed by any method. It is not compliant with California Title 20 appliance-efficiency regulations. Minimum starting temperature is rated at -20 degrees Fahrenheit, so it is unsuitable for unheated spaces that fall below that threshold.
