GE Lighting 28885 T8 Linear Fluorescent Light Bulb 24 inch 17W 5000K Coverguard 6 pack

GE 28885 T8 fluorescent lamp

The GE 28885 is a 24 inch linear fluorescent tube with a medium bi-pin G13 base. It operates at 17 watts and delivers 1310 initial lumens at a 5000K daylight colour temperature. The pack contains six lamps suited for commercial fixtures requiring T8 replacements.

Sustained output and rated life

Each lamp carries a 40000 hour rated life, indicating stable lumen maintenance over extended operating periods rather than only initial brightness. The 82 colour rendering index remains consistent throughout that lifespan. Ecolux construction supports reliable performance in continuous-use environments such as offices or retail spaces.

Thermals and power draw

At 17 watts per tube the power draw is modest and heat output stays low during normal operation. The Coverguard shatter-resistant coating contains glass fragments if breakage occurs without affecting thermal behaviour. Fluorescent technology runs silently with no moving parts or fan noise.
