Closet and Laundry LED T8
The GE Lighting 35911 is a 48 inch T8 LED tube that delivers 1800 lumens at 5000K cool white while drawing only 15 watts. It uses a Medium Bi-Pin G13 base and operates as a Plug and Play Type A replacement for existing fluorescent fixtures. The pack contains six tubes designed for closets, laundry rooms, work spaces and offices.
32-watt fluorescent replacement
Each tube replaces a 32-watt T8 fluorescent lamp with nearly the same light output while using less than half the power. The jump is worth it when you want to eliminate mercury, reduce energy draw and avoid frequent relamping in fixtures that already contain compatible instant-start or programmed-start ballasts.
Type A ballast dependency
Practical limits come from the Type A design: the tubes only work with compatible electronic ballasts and will not operate on magnetic ballasts or direct-wire installations. Ballast life becomes the system life, so a failing ballast will stop the LEDs even though the tubes are rated for 16 years at six hours per day.

Questions about this item
Will the 48 inch T8 tubes fit my existing G13 bi-pin sockets?
Yes, each tube uses a Medium Bi-Pin (G13) base that matches standard 48 inch T8 fluorescent sockets.
Do I need to rewire the fixture for these Plug and Play Type A tubes?
No rewiring is needed; the tubes operate directly on the existing electronic ballast — just remove the old lamps and insert the LEDs.
How often will I need to replace the six tubes under typical daily use?
Rated life is 16 years based on six hours of operation per day, so all six tubes should last that long before replacement.
