  • 35 000 hour rated life reduces replacement frequency

GE Relax HD LED 3-Pack

These GE Lighting 47697 Relax HD LED bulbs deliver soft white illumination at 2700 Kelvin with a high 90 CRI for accurate colour rendering. Each 9-watt bulb produces 700 lumens while replacing a 65-watt incandescent. The R30 retrofit kit fits medium-base sockets and offers a 25-degree beam angle suited to recessed cans.

Suits homes wanting warm, high-fidelity light

Buyers who need daylight colour temperatures or higher lumen output for task lighting should look elsewhere. The 25-degree beam is narrow for general ambient fill. Dimmers must be LED-compatible to avoid flicker. Not designed for enclosed fixtures unless rated for such use.

Verify medium-base socket and dimmer compatibility

Confirm the recessed can accepts an R30 form factor with a 7.00-inch maximum overall length. Check that existing dimmers support low-wattage LED loads. California Title 20 compliance is noted for regulated markets. Rated life of 35,000 hours assumes three hours daily use.

Questions about this item

Do I need existing dimmer switches rated for LED loads to use the dimming feature on these 9W Relax HD bulbs?

Yes, the bulbs are dimmable and require a compatible LED-rated dimmer switch already installed in the circuit to adjust brightness smoothly.

Will the 25-degree beam and 700-lumen output match the spread and brightness of the 65W incandescent floods I am replacing?

The 25-degree beam provides a similar focused spread, and at 700 lumens the output closely matches a 65W incandescent flood for comparable illumination.

How can I verify the 2700K soft white colour and 90 CRI are performing correctly after installation?

Observe a warm, yellow-white glow similar to traditional soft white and check that skin tones and décor colours appear natural and vibrant under the light.
