Direct PC-to-PC file transfer
The GearMo GM-PCLINK is a USB 2.0 data transfer cable designed for users who need to move files between two Windows computers. It supports Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 and 11 without requiring any driver installation. The cable creates a split-screen explorer window for simple drag-and-drop operation between the host and remote machines.
Sustained throughput with ferrite suppression
Under continuous load the link operates at the USB 2.0 high-speed rate of 480Mbps and falls back to 12Mbps on USB 1.1 ports depending on system demand. A built-in ferrite ring reduces electromagnetic interference to help maintain stable throughput during extended copy sessions. The OTi OTi002108-G chip handles the transfer protocol in hardware so the CPU is not burdened with driver overhead.
Verify dual USB-A ports and OS version
Before ordering confirm that both the source and destination computers have an available USB Type-A port and run a supported Windows release from XP through 11. The cable draws all power from the bus so no external adapter is needed. Mac, Linux or other operating systems are not supported by the embedded firmware.

Questions about this item
Does the USB 2.0 link cable draw much power or run warm during long transfer sessions?
The cable is bus powered and draws its supply directly from the host USB port, so it adds no extra heat beyond normal port operation.
What must the second computer provide for the GM-PCLINK to function?
The second computer needs a free USB Type-A port and a supported Windows version from XP through 11; no driver media or external power is required.
Will the cable work if one machine only has USB 1.1 ports?
Yes, the GM-PCLINK is backward compatible with USB 1.1 and 1.0, though the transfer rate drops to 12 Mbps on that older interface.
