GEEKOM IT12 Mini PC

The GEEKOM IT12 Mini PC is a compact desktop built around the Intel Core i5-12450H processor. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. The system targets home office users, media server operators and small-business deployments that need quiet, continuous operation in a small footprint.

Connectivity and expansion

Two USB4 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one USB 2.0 port, a 2.5GbE LAN jack, dual HDMI 2.0 outputs, an SD card reader and a 3.5 mm audio jack handle peripherals and displays. Wireless uses WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. Inside, one M.2 2280 NVMe slot, one M.2 2242 SATA slot and a 2.5-inch SATA bay allow storage growth to 4TB, while the single memory slot supports up to 96GB.

Sustained workload behaviour

The proprietary IceBlast cooling delivers 52% better heat dissipation and runs 40% quieter than conventional designs, enabling stable 24/7 operation under heavy loads. The 40W power supply keeps draw low for always-on roles such as Plex transcoding or surveillance recording. Intel Quick Sync accelerates 4K transcoding by 30%, and the CPU provides a 48% multi-core gain over older U-series chips.

Questions about this item

What limits the i5-12450H under sustained load with the 40W power supply?

The 40W adapter caps total system draw, so the CPU cannot maintain its 4.4 GHz turbo indefinitely; IceBlast cooling moves heat 52% faster but the power ceiling is reached first.

How quiet and cool does the IT12 stay during 24/7 operation?

IceBlast cooling is rated 40% quieter and dissipates heat 52% better than the previous design, enabling stable round-the-clock use at low power.

Which display cables and mounts are included so the unit works out of the box?

The package supplies one HDMI cable and a VESA mount; two HDMI 2.0 ports and two USB4 ports are available for additional displays.
