Audio extension up to 1000 feet

The Gefen Audio Extender EXT-AUD-1000 transmits stereo audio signals over a single CAT-5 cable between a sender and a receiver unit. It is designed for installations where the audio source and the speakers must be placed far apart, such as distributed audio systems or remote monitoring setups.

Simple CAT-5 link with supplied stereo cables

The sender unit connects to the audio source using the included stereo cables, while the receiver connects to the output device. A single CAT-5 cable links the two units, carrying the signal up to the rated distance. The main installation risk is using a cable run that exceeds the supported length or omitting the supplied stereo interconnects.

Check source output and speaker input compatibility

Before ordering, verify that your audio source provides a stereo line-level output suitable for the sender's input connections. Confirm that your speakers or amplifier accept the corresponding input from the receiver unit. Ensure a CAT-5 cable run within the supported distance can be routed between the two locations.
