Black Nylon Ribbon Replacement

This aftermarket ink cartridge replaces Brother typewriter and printer ribbons. The black nylon fabric supplies consistent ink transfer for text documents. It is manufactured to match original equipment specifications. The cartridge fits machines that use the 77 designation.

Suitable for Typewriter and Impact Printer Users

Offices and individuals running compatible Brother impact devices will find a direct replacement here. Users of laser, inkjet or thermal printers cannot use this ribbon. Buyers needing colour output or high-volume continuous-feed ribbons should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the GENT5B ribbon cartridge and what step is often missed?

Open the printer cover, remove the old cartridge, align the GENT5B with the guide posts, press firmly until it clicks, then advance the ribbon manually to remove slack before closing the cover.

What maintenance will the GENT5B ribbon cartridge need later?

The nylon ribbon is a single-use consumable; when print quality fades or the ribbon exhausts, replace the entire GENT5B cartridge — no separate ink refills or printhead cleaning are required.
