Simple hand operation

Select the required diameter, position the punch on the material and strike the end with a hammer or mallet. The forged steel holds its edge through repeated blows, and the side port lets you push out the waste plug with a finger or small tool. Problems arise if the workpiece is too thick or hard for the punch diameter, causing deformation or a ragged cut.

Material thickness limit

These punches are designed for sheet goods such as leather, rubber, canvas, cardboard and similar plastics. They will not cut cleanly through thick stack heights, dense hardwoods or metal sheet beyond light gauge. Users needing larger diameters, deeper reach or powered operation should choose a different tool class.
