This cable converts a USB Power Delivery charger into a 15V DC supply for equipment that uses a 5.5mm × 2.5mm or 5.5mm × 2.1mm barrel jack. The moulded USB-C plug houses a PD smart chip that requests 15V at up to 3A from a compatible PD power adapter or power bank. A 1m black PVC jacket protects the tin-plated copper conductors. It is intended solely for charging, not for data transfer.

Suitable for 15V peripherals; not for laptops

The cable suits printers, routers, cameras, CCTV units, network switches, LED strips and similar 15V gear that draws up to 36W. Buyers who need to power a laptop or any device requiring more than 36W should look elsewhere. If the PD source does not offer a 15V profile the cable will fall back to the next lower voltage, so a charger limited to 5V, 9V, 12V or 20V will not deliver 15V.

Built-in PD chip requests 15V

The integrated PD controller negotiates a 15V output with the connected USB-C power adapter; without that negotiation the cable cannot produce the required voltage. The host charger must support a 15V PDO and be rated above the load. If the charger lacks a 15V profile the cable outputs the nearest lower voltage instead.
