Compact barebone for custom builds

This GenMachine mini PC arrives as a barebone unit without RAM or storage, letting you choose DDR4 memory up to 32 GB and an M.2 2280 NVMe drive up to 2 TB. The AMD Ryzen 7 3750H processor delivers four cores and eight threads with a 2.3 GHz base and 4.0 GHz boost. Integrated Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics drive two 4K displays via HDMI and DisplayPort. It suits home-office users, digital-signage installers or hobbyists who want a small footprint and full component control.

Sustained thermal behaviour

A built-in cooling fan manages heat during extended workloads rather than only short bursts. The 4 MB L3 cache and dual-channel memory support help maintain throughput when both memory channels are populated. Wifi5 and Bluetooth4.2 remain active alongside the 1 Gbps LAN port for continuous network tasks. The aluminium chassis aids passive dissipation, keeping the system stable during long rendering, streaming or kiosk sessions.

Compatibility checks before ordering

Verify that your DDR4 SO-DIMM sticks match the 32 GB maximum and dual-channel requirement for best performance. Confirm the M.2 2280 NVMe drive you plan to install uses the correct keying and length. Ensure your monitors accept 4096 x 2160 resolution over HDMI or DisplayPort. Check that the 129 x 129 x 42 mm footprint fits your mounting location and that the DC power input matches your supply. Buyers who need pre-installed memory, storage or an operating system should look at configured units instead.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the 3750H get when the mini PC runs all day?

The unit includes a built-in cooling fan designed to keep the Ryzen 7 3750H stable during continuous operation; the compact 129 x 129 x 42 mm chassis limits airflow, so expect noticeable fan noise under sustained load.

Which DDR4 SO-DIMM kit and M.2 2280 NVMe drive must I supply to make this barebone work?

You need to add up to 32 GB of DDR4 SO-DIMM memory — dual-channel 16 GB is recommended for the 85 % performance gain — and an M.2 2280 NVMe SSD up to 2 TB for storage.

Will my older 1080p monitors and USB 2.0 peripherals work with the HDMI, DisplayPort and four USB 3.0 ports?

Yes, the HDMI and DisplayPort outputs both support 4K at 4096 x 2160 and will downscale to 1080p, while the four USB 3.0 ports are backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices.
