Model Squama 3003 / 120x30mm Standard

Model 3 Packs

  • 30 mm thick frame boosts static pressure to 2.93 mmH2O
  • 84 CFM airflow at up to 2250 RPM for strong case cooling
  • Double-sided ARGB lighting syncs with 5 V motherboard headers
  • Hydro dynamic bearing cuts vibration and extends service life
  • PWM control from 800 RPM balances performance and 35.8 dBA noise

30mm-thick triple-fan kit

This three-pack supplies three 120mm case fans built with a 30mm frame instead of the usual 25mm depth. The extra thickness guides air more efficiently through radiators and restrictive case meshes. Each unit uses a hydro-dynamic bearing and a nine-blade impeller rated for 84 CFM airflow and 2.93 mmH2O static pressure. The white finish and double-sided addressable RGB lighting suit showcase builds that want visible illumination from either side.

Sustained-load behaviour

PWM control spans 800 to 2250 RPM, letting the motherboard ramp speed gradually as component temperatures rise. At the top of the range the fans produce 35.8 dBA while maintaining the rated pressure figure, so airflow does not collapse when a radiator or dense filter adds resistance. The hydro-dynamic bearing is designed for continuous operation without the wear patterns that can affect sleeve bearings under long-term heat. Vibration stays low thanks to the textured dragon-scale frame structure.

5V ARGB and PWM limits

Lighting requires a standard 5V three-pin addressable RGB header; older 12V four-pin RGB headers will not drive the LEDs and can damage them. The four-pin PWM connector handles speed signalling only and does not supply power for the lighting circuit. Motherboards without a 5V ARGB header cannot synchronise the fans’ colours without a separate controller. The 30mm thickness may conflict with slim radiator brackets or tight side-panel clearances that assume 25mm fans.

Questions about this item

How loud is the 35.8 dBA noise level when the Squama 3003W-12 fans run continuously at full 2250 RPM?

At maximum speed the three fans produce 35.8 dBA each, a level comparable to a quiet library; the hydro-dynamic bearing and dragon-scale frame keep vibration low so the sound stays steady during all-day operation.

Does my motherboard need a 5 V 3-pin ARGB header to use the double-sided lighting on these 120 mm fans?

Yes, the addressable RGB LEDs connect via a standard 5 V 3-pin ARGB header; without that header the fans will still spin but the lighting cannot be synchronised or controlled.

Will the 30 mm thick frames fit alongside my existing 25 mm fans in a push-pull radiator setup?

The 30 mm thickness adds 5 mm per fan, so clearance must be checked; they can work in push-pull if the radiator and case allow the extra depth, but the thicker frame may contact adjacent components in tight builds.
