Fully rugged tablet for field work

The Getac K120 is a 12.5 inch fully rugged tablet built for mobile professionals who need a durable Windows 11 Pro device in harsh environments. It runs on an Intel Core i5-8550U processor with four cores and a base frequency of 1.8 GHz up to 4.0 GHz. The system includes 16 GB DDR4-3200 memory and a 256 GB SSD for responsive performance. A pen is included for precise input on the touchscreen.

Fanless cooling and efficient power

The tablet uses a fanless design with Intel UHD Graphics 620, so it operates silently without moving parts. The low-power processor and 11.1 V lithium-ion battery rated at 2100 mAh typical capacity provide mobility for field tasks. Wireless connectivity relies on Intel WiFi 6E AX211 with 802.11ax and Bluetooth 5.3 for stable links in challenging conditions.

Rugged build with versatile ports

The chassis meets rugged standards and weighs 3.75 units for manageable handling. The 12.5 inch FHD LumiBond display reaches 1200 nits with anti-static film for sunlight readability and wide viewing angles. Connectivity includes one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports and a combo audio jack for peripherals and docking. This configuration suits users who need rugged mobility; buyers who require larger internal storage or multiple Type-A ports should consider alternatives.

Questions about this item

How do I install the included pen and what step is often missed?

Pair the pen via Bluetooth 5.3 in Windows Settings, then install the Getac driver from the support site so pressure sensitivity works — skipping the driver is the common miss.

What maintenance will the 11.1 V 2100 mAh battery need later?

The pack is user-replaceable; when run-time falls noticeably, unlatch the bottom door and swap in a fresh Getac battery — no tools required.

What limit appears first during sustained heavy workloads on the Core i5-8550U?

Thermal throttling engages once the fanless chassis hits its ceiling, capping the 4.0 GHz turbo to protect the Intel UHD Graphics 620 and CPU.
