Fully rugged 2-in-1 for field work

The Getac K120-I009-RB is a 12.5" convertible built to survive drops, vibration and extreme temperatures while running Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i5-8550U with 16 GB DDR4 and a 256 GB PCIe NVMe SSD. Its 1,200-nit LumiBond touchscreen stays readable in direct sunlight and supports multi-touch with gloves. Dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB 3.2 Gen 2, RJ-45 and WiFi 6E AX211 keep data moving on site.

Suited to mobile technicians, not office workers

Field engineers, utility crews and first responders who need a sealed, MIL-STD chassis with a bright outdoor display will benefit from the rugged design and long battery runtime. Buyers who want a thin ultrabook for desk use, a larger screen for CAD or a fanless silent tablet should look elsewhere. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 also limits 3D workloads and multi-monitor setups.

1,200-nit sunlight-readable touchscreen decides fit

The 12.5" FHD panel reaches 1,200 nits with Getac LumiBond technology, making it usable in full daylight without a hood. If your workflow never leaves indoor lighting, the extra brightness and rugged layer add weight and cost you do not need. For outdoor inspection, mapping or vehicle-mounted use, that brightness is the single spec that makes the device viable.

What does the 1.8 GHz base clock with 4.00 GHz turbo mean for daily work?

The quad-core i5-8550U runs at 1.8 GHz for light tasks and can boost to 4.00 GHz on up to four cores when the thermal budget allows, giving snappy Office and browser response.
