48-Color Watercolor Set for Artists

The GETHPEN set supplies 48 vivid watercolor pans, three brushes and a refillable water brush pen in a single box. Finely ground pigments dissolve quickly and deliver high transparency with a light, matte finish on paper. Certified to ASTM D4236 and EN71, the acid-free paints are washable, quick-drying and rated for users aged 13 and up. The 0.34 kg pack is designed for sketching, scrapbooking, school projects and general leisure painting.

Suits beginners and hobbyists.

Students, teachers and casual painters will appreciate the ready-to-use pan format and included tools for immediate work. The opaque coverage of 10-15 sq ft per ounce supports broad washes on paper surfaces. Artists who require tube colours, larger individual volumes, lightfastness ratings or professional-grade single-pigment selections should look at dedicated studio ranges instead. The set does not contain masking fluid, mediums or specialised brushes for advanced techniques.

Brush, pen and palette change the workflow

Three conventional brushes cover basic strokes while the refillable water brush pen eliminates a separate water jar for field sketching. The built-in palette provides mixing wells so colours can be blended directly in the box. Together these accessories make the kit self-contained for outdoor sessions, classroom use or quick home projects without extra purchases.

Questions about this item

What paper weight is recommended for the 48 transparent watercolor colors to bloom cleanly?

The set is designed for use on standard watercolor paper; heavier weights absorb washes without warping and let the transparent colors bloom naturally.

Can the refillable water brush pen be used with the three included brushes for mixed techniques?

Yes, the water brush pen and the three standard brushes work together — fill the pen for controlled wet-on-wet washes and switch to the brushes for dry-brush or detail work.

How can I verify the paints meet the ASTM D4236 and EN71 safety certifications after opening the box?

The packaging carries the ASTM D4236 and EN71 conformity marks; checking for those labels confirms the set has been tested for safe use by artists aged 13 and up.
