MacBook keyboard protector for Apple Silicon models

The GhostCover FlexType fits 2021 through 2026 MacBook Pro 14 and 16 models plus MacBook Air 13 and 15 with US ANSI layout. Thermoplastic polyurethane at 0.18 millimetres thick guards against dust, crumbs and liquid spills while staying nearly invisible. Backlighting shines through and Touch ID works via a precise cutout. The protector remains in place when the lid is closed.

Upgrade from loose silicone covers that shift

Multi-depth key pockets lock each finger position so the sheet does not slide or bunch. The jump is worth it for anyone who types for hours and wants protection without losing tactile feedback. Buyers who prefer a thicker, cushioned feel or need a non-US layout will not find that here.

Stays flat and responsive during long sessions

The 0.08 kilogram sheet distributes heat evenly and does not trap warmth under the keys. Surface texture remains consistent after repeated washing so friction does not increase over time. Keys retain their original travel and click sensation even after months of daily use.

Questions about this item

Will the .18 mm TPU protector fit my 14-inch MacBook Pro from 2021 or later without blocking the lid?

Yes — the ultra-thin .18 mm TPU layer is cut for 2021-onward 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro and 13 and 15-inch MacBook Air models, so the lid closes normally with it installed.

How do I align the protector so Touch ID still works?

Lay the sheet over the US ANSI keyboard, match the precise Touch ID cutout first, then press the multi-depth key pockets down row by row; the patent-pending pocket design locks it in place without adhesive.

Can I wash the protector when it gets dirty, and will it survive repeated cleaning?

The TPU material is fully removable and washable — rinse with water, air-dry, and reapply; the .18 mm film retains its shape and transparency through many cleaning cycles.
