B850 chipset ATX motherboard for AM5

The GIGABYTE B850 Gaming X WIFI6E is a new ATX motherboard built on the AMD B850 chipset for AM5 socket Ryzen processors. It supports DDR5 memory across four slots with a maximum capacity of 256GB. The board includes a PCI Express 5.0 x16 slot for graphics and WIFI6E wireless connectivity.

Suits serious gaming builds with DDR5 and PCIe 5.0

This motherboard fits builders targeting serious gaming on a modern AMD platform who want DDR5 memory support and a PCI Express 5.0 x16 slot. Buyers who need a smaller form factor such as micro-ATX or Mini-ITX should look elsewhere. Those requiring more than four memory slots or a different chipset feature set will not be served by this model.

PCI Express 5.0 x16 slot dictates GPU bandwidth

The single PCI Express 5.0 x16 slot sets the maximum graphics interface bandwidth available on this board. If your graphics card or riser cable requires a different slot specification or you plan to run multiple GPUs, this specification makes the board unsuitable. Verify that your GPU and case layout match this single x16 configuration before purchasing.
