1U edge server barebone

The GIGABYTE E163-S30-AAG1 is a 1U rackmount barebone designed for edge workloads. It accepts a single 5th or 4th generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor or an Intel Xeon CPU Max Series chip in an LGA 4677 socket with up to 350 W TDP. The Intel C741 chipset provides eight-channel DDR5-5600 support across sixteen 288-pin RDIMM slots. No CPU or memory is installed.

Dual hot-swap bays and Gen5 expansion

Two 2.5-inch front bays accept Gen4 NVMe, SATA or SAS drives with hot-swap capability. A single M.2 M-key slot runs at PCIe Gen3 x4 from the PCH and fits 2280 or 22110 cards. Expansion includes two full-height half-length PCIe Gen5 x16 slots and two OCP 3.0 Gen5 x16 slots. The Aspeed AST2600 handles graphics and management. A single 1 GbE port via Intel I210-AT provides baseline connectivity.

Confirm that your chosen LGA 4677 cooler fits the 1U height and aligns with the 350 W TDP limit. Ensure the power supply can deliver enough wattage for the processor, sixteen DDR5 RDIMMs and all installed add-in cards.
