Edge server barebone supporting AMD EPYC 9004/9005 processors with 12 DDR5 DIMM slots and two dual-slot Gen5 GPU bays
This 2U barebone server is built for edge workloads that demand two full-height PCIe Gen5 graphics cards. It accepts a single AMD EPYC 9004 or 9005 processor in an SP5 socket and provides twelve DDR5 RDIMM slots for memory expansion. The platform targets inference, rendering or compute tasks at the network edge.
Two 2.5-inch drive bays on the rear panel support Gen5 NVMe, SATA or SAS-4 media with hot-swap capability. A single 1 Gb/s LAN port uses an Intel I210-AT controller. Dual ROM architecture adds firmware redundancy, while an M.2 slot with PCIe Gen3 x4 interface offers additional storage flexibility.
The chassis provides two full-height, full-length PCIe Gen5 x16 slots specifically for dual-slot GPUs. This fixed GPU capacity defines the system's role: it suits workloads that need exactly two accelerators and cannot scale beyond that count. Buyers needing more than two GPUs or a different slot layout should consider other platforms.

Both full-height full-length slots are PCIe Gen5 x16, so each GPU can run at up to Gen5 x16 bandwidth.
The 2U rackmount chassis accepts two dual-slot Gen5 GPUs internally and provides two 2.5-inch hot-swap bays at the rear, so allow standard 2U depth plus cable bend radius behind the bays.
Remove the riser brackets, seat each GPU into a PCIe Gen5 x16 slot, secure the retention screws, then connect auxiliary power cables from the PSU — forgetting the power cables is the common miss.
