Barebone mini PC with a Celeron J3160 processor, one DDR3L SO-DIMM slot supporting up to 8 GB, a 2.5″ SATA bay, HDMI and VGA outputs, Gigabit LAN, and built-in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth
The GIGABYTE BRIX GB-BACE-3160 is a booksize mini PC built around an Intel Celeron J3160 processor with a maximum turbo frequency of 2.24 GHz. It ships without memory or storage, targeting builders who need a small, fanless-friendly platform for office tasks, digital signage or light home-server duties. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 400 drives a single VGA output and one HDMI port for dual-display setups.
Installation requires inserting a single 204-pin DDR3L SO-DIMM up to 8 GB and a 2.5-inch SATA drive of 7.0 mm or 9.5 mm thickness. The M.2 2230 A-E key slot is already occupied by the pre-installed Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card, so no additional wireless expansion is possible. A 19 V 2.1 A DC adapter powers the unit through a dedicated jack on the rear panel.
Memory bandwidth is constrained to one channel of DDR3L 1600/1066, capping integrated graphics performance and multitasking headroom. The sole SATA 6.0 Gbps port limits storage throughput to traditional hard-drive or SATA SSD speeds. Gigabit Ethernet tops out at 1 Gbps, and the legacy VGA connector may require an adapter for modern monitors.

The system will POST and the BIOS will show the J3160 detected with up to 2.24 GHz clock speed; Intel HD Graphics 400 will appear in Device Manager and the Realtek RTL8111H LAN will link at 1Gbps.
The box contains the GB-BACE-3160 chassis with a pre-installed Wi-Fi+BT card in the M.2 2230 A-E key slot, a 19V 2.1A power adapter and a Kensington lock slot; you must add one 204-pin DDR3L 1600/1066 SO-DIMM up to 8GB and a 2.5" SATA drive 7.0mm or 9.5mm thick.
The board supports one 204-pin DDR3L 1600/1066 module with a maximum of 8GB; a single 8GB stick gives the full capacity while a 4GB stick leaves room for a later upgrade if you find another compatible module.
