Intel Xeon 6 barebones for dense compute

Tool-less rail install with CPU and memory care

The chassis slides into a standard 1U rack space using tool-less rails, but the platform ships without a processor or memory installed. Installers must source a compatible Xeon 6 CPU and populate DDR5 RDIMM or MRDIMM modules in the correct channel order to reach rated speeds. The 350 W TDP ceiling demands a heatsink rated for that envelope and careful airflow planning in a 1U height.

Verify rack depth, power and cooling first

Confirm the rack cabinet provides enough depth for the 1U node plus cable management at the rear. The power distribution unit must deliver sufficient current for a 350 W processor plus drives and add-in cards. Two FHHL PCIe Gen5 x16 slots and two OCP NIC 3.0 Gen5 x16 slots require full-length card clearance. A single 1 GbE LAN port via Intel I210-AT handles basic management traffic.
