Suited for New DDR5 Builds

Builders planning a fresh AMD Ryzen system with DDR5 memory will find the required socket and chipset here. Four memory slots allow up to 256GB of DDR5 SDRAM. Those staying on an older socket or a different memory standard cannot use this board.

PCI Express 4.0 x16 Expansion Slot

The single most decisive specification is the PCI Express 4.0 x16 slot, which determines the graphics card interface available. Verify that your chosen GPU matches this slot standard before purchase.

Questions about this item

Which processor socket must I already have to install this X870 GAMING WIFI6 motherboard?

This board uses the AM5 socket, so you need a compatible AMD Ryzen processor that fits AM5 before it will work.

Will my existing PCI Express 4.0 x16 graphics card work in the expansion slot on this board?

Yes, the single PCI Express 4.0 x16 slot accepts current graphics cards that use the same interface.

How can I confirm the board is running the full 256 GB of DDR5 memory I installed?

Enter the BIOS or use a system-information tool in your OS; both will report the total recognised memory capacity.
