Gitzo GT5533S Systematic Series 5 carbon fibre camera tripod

Professional Carbon Fibre Tripod

The Gitzo GT5533S Systematic Series 5 is a three-section carbon fibre camera tripod built for professionals who work with heavy cameras and long lenses. Its Carbon eXact tubes and 85 mm upper disc deliver exceptional rigidity for sharp, blur-free images in demanding conditions. The modular top casting accepts flat disks, geared or sliding centre columns, video half-ball adaptors, levelling bases and other Systematic accessories for versatile configurations.

Payload Capacity and Height Range

A safety payload of 92.6 lbs confidently supports professional camera bodies with large telephoto lenses, while the structure runs out of capacity only with extreme specialist rigs beyond that limit. The legs extend to a maximum height of 52.76 inches and collapse to a minimum of 3.94 inches, covering low-angle macro work through to standing eye-level compositions. The thicker final leg section adds further stability at full extension.

Weight, Transport and Stability Features

Weighing 5.8 lbs and folding to 24.41 inches, the tripod remains manageable for on-location transport without sacrificing rigidity. New ultra-stable feet improve ground contact on uneven terrain, and an Easy Link attachment provides a convenient point for accessories. The Carbon eXact tube construction uses High Modulus fibre in narrower sections to maximise stiffness while keeping mass low.
