One-Piece Clamping Collar

The Global G1SC-268-B is a transparent one-piece clamping collar categorised as sports memorabilia and collectibles. It is supplied new and carries the Global brand. The item is also classified under bearings, V-belts and power transmission equipment.

Upgrade from split collars

This single-piece design replaces two-piece split collars that require alignment of separate halves during installation. The jump is worth it when a builder wants a continuous clamping force without a parting line that can trap debris or create a stress riser on the shaft.

Sustained clamping behaviour

Under continuous load the one-piece construction maintains uniform pressure around the shaft circumference because no fastener preload is lost across a split. The transparent material allows visual inspection of contact surface condition without disassembly. California Proposition 65 warnings indicate the product contains a chemical known to the state to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

Does the 268-B collar need a specific shaft diameter to clamp properly?

The collar is a one-piece clamping design that tightens around the shaft with a single screw; match the bore to your shaft size for a secure fit.

What is the most common mistake when installing this one-piece clamping collar?

Forcing the collar over a shaft larger than the bore instead of loosening the screw fully, which can crack the transparent body.

Will the transparent material need replacement if exposed to sunlight over time?

Prolonged UV exposure can yellow or embrittle the transparent material, so plan to replace the collar if it becomes discoloured or brittle.
