GSC-206-SS Transparent Collar

The GLOBAL GSC-206-SS is a transparent set screw collar designed for power transmission equipment. It serves as a replacement component for bearings and V-belt assemblies. Buyers who need a different bore size or a split-clamp locking style will not find those options in this specific model.

Upgrading Worn Collars

This collar replaces damaged or corroded set screw collars on existing shafts. The jump is worth it when the original hardware has loosened under vibration or when the finish has degraded. It does not upgrade the shaft diameter or change the locking mechanism to a different principle.

Build Integration

The transparent finish allows visual confirmation of shaft engagement and set screw contact during installation. It fits into standard power transmission layouts using the specified set screw method. The collar frees up maintenance time by simplifying alignment checks without disassembly.

Questions about this item

What shaft diameter does the GSC-206-SS set-screw collar fit?

The GSC-206-SS collar uses a set-screw to clamp onto a shaft; match the collar bore to your shaft diameter for a secure hold.

How do I install the GSC-206-SS collar without damaging the shaft?

Slide the collar into position, then tighten the set-screw evenly — over-tightening can mar the shaft and make removal difficult.

Will the transparent GSC-206-SS collar need replacement due to UV exposure?

Prolonged sunlight can embrittle transparent plastics; inspect periodically and replace if cracking or discolouration appears.
