64-Inch Six-Light Track Kit

The Globe Electric 59829 is a 64-inch matte black track system with six adjustable GU10 heads mounted on a centre swivel bar. It operates on 120 volts with a 50-watt maximum per socket and is rated for indoor use only. The semi-flush mount design suits kitchens, studios or hallways needing directional coverage across a wide area.

Hardwired Semi-Flush Installation

Installation requires hardwiring into a junction box and a compatible dimmer switch for dimmable operation, neither of which are included. The 3.443-kilogram metal fixture measures 4.8 by 64 by 14 centimetres, so verify ceiling structure and box rating before mounting. Push-button control is integrated, but wiring mistakes or an undersized box are the most common issues during fitment.

Sustained Output With Halogen Or LED

Six 50-watt halogen bulbs produce significant heat during extended runs, so allow adequate airflow around the heads and track. LED GU10 alternatives run cooler and reduce load on the circuit while maintaining dimmable performance. The matte black metal finish resists discoloration, but the fixture is not water resistant and must stay in dry indoor locations.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the track light is working correctly after installation?

Turn on the push-button control and verify all six adjustable heads illuminate; each GU10 bulb should light up to the 50-watt maximum and respond smoothly when a compatible dimmer switch is adjusted.

What comes in the box and which items must be purchased separately?

The kit includes the 64-inch matte-black track, center swivel bar, and six adjustable spot heads; six GU10 bi-pin twist-and-click bulbs (LED or incandescent, up to 50 W each) and a compatible dimmer switch are sold separately.

Which version of the West 59829 track kit should I choose for a large kitchen?

The single 64-inch, six-light configuration with 120-volt hardwired installation and semi-flush mount is the only version offered, providing wide directional coverage for spacious indoor areas.
