Plug-in track kit for renters

The Globe Electric 60024 is a three-head plug-in track light kit with a 15-foot cord and in-line rocker switch. It mounts on walls or ceilings without hardwiring, making it suited to renters and temporary setups. The matte white finish and compact 22-inch bar fit contemporary and minimalist interiors. Each head pivots to direct light where it is needed.

Suits small rooms needing aimed light

Ideal for kitchens, studio apartments, dorm rooms or home offices that want adjustable task or accent lighting without permanent wiring. The three GU10/bi-pin sockets accept LED or incandescent bulbs up to 50 watts each, sold separately. Not for buyers who need integrated LEDs, dimming, water resistance or a hardwired installation with a wall switch. Those requirements fall outside the kit's design.

Steady output within 50-watt limit

Under continuous use the three halogen-compatible sockets run at up to 50 watts each on a 120-volt supply, so total draw stays within the rated electrical usage. The metal housing and glass elements dissipate heat passively during extended operation. No active cooling or thermal throttling is present, and the in-line switch remains the only on-off control during sustained loads.

Questions about this item

What bulbs do I need to buy before the 60024 track kit will light up?

Purchase three GU10-base MR16 bulbs, 50 W maximum each; LED or incandescent types both work.

Can the 22-inch track and 15-foot cord reach a socket above older kitchen cabinets?

The 15-foot cord with in-line switch plugs into any 120 V outlet, so it clears cabinets without hardwiring.

How do I confirm the three heads are aimed correctly after mounting?

Switch on the rocker switch; each head pivots independently, so adjust until the beams hit the desired work surfaces.
