What this book light is and who it suits

The Glocusent Bookmark Book Light is a compact USB-rechargeable clip-on lamp designed for hands-free reading in bed, while travelling or during night-time nursing. A built-in 1000 mAh battery delivers up to 160 hours of use on a single charge, and four green indicators show the remaining power level. The adjustable head rotates left and right so the beam stays on the page without disturbing a partner.

What the bundled modes and battery actually change

Three colour temperatures — amber at 1800 K, breeze at 3400 K and precise at 6000 K — let the reader match the light to the task. Amber mode filters 99.9 percent of blue light to protect eyes and support melatonin production, breeze mode creates a cosy tone for novels and poetry, and precise mode restores daylight-like clarity for detailed work. Five brightness steps and seven evenly spaced LEDs give flicker-free, full-page illumination without hot spots.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Readers who want a lightweight, long-lasting clip light with blue-light reduction for bedtime or travel will find the 10160-hour battery claim and 99.99 percent blue-light block in amber mode well suited. Buyers needing a freestanding desk lamp, a wider flood for large-format books or a higher lumen output for craft work should consider other form factors.

Questions about this item

Will the built-in 1000mAh battery need replacing after a certain number of charge cycles?

The integrated 1000mAh cell is not user-replaceable; when its capacity fades you replace the whole light.

What limits continuous use before the light dims or shuts off?

Battery runtime caps sustained use — up to 160 hours on the lowest setting, far less at maximum brightness.

Does the lamp head get hot or make any noise during all-day reading sessions?

LED emitters produce negligible heat and zero audible noise, so the head stays cool and silent even after hours of use.
